Show W Laura Laura Fullmer Wilcox, 79, died I eb. 12, 1994 of cancer. Born Nov. 22, 1915 in Salt Lake to City Leland Harold Fullmer and Lundstedt Fullmer Holt. Laura graduF.thel ated from Davis High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers and the a Literary Club. She had earned her golden gleaner award. She married Elmer Wilcox Nov. 5, 1937 in the Salt Lake Syra-Lit- Temple. She was employed at Hill Field, J C. Penney, and the Ogden Defense Depot. She held many positions during her lifetime in the LDS Church. Many were working with young people where she shared her zest tor life and her example. She especially loved teaching her i,aurel girls. F. Wilcox Laura and Elmer served a mission to the Ft. Lauderdale Mission where they influenced many lives for good. Laura was dearly loved by many family members, friends and neighbors who have shown great care and compassion to her during her long illness. Laura enjoyed life to the fullest. She appreciated nature and loved camping, fishing and rock hunting with her husband and family. She loved beautiful sunsets over the lake and thrilled with the beauty of the changing seasons. She enjoyed preserving the many fruits and vegetables grown in their garden and sharing them with family and friends. She had generous caring spirit that she shared with all who knew her. She loved her family and her husbands family. They filled her life with joy. She is survived by her son, Gwendolyn R Woolley of the away Feb. 7, 994 in northern California. She had been with the Arthur 1 Coombs family, a nephew. She was born Oct. 2, in 1896 Centerville, to Lorin Calvin and Sarah Ann Roberts Woolley. Aunt Gwen had her early schooling in Centerville and graduated from the old Salt Lake High School. She received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah and her ma- sters degree from Columbia University in New York. The Emeritus Club of the U of U gave her a Merit of Honor Award. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m at the Syracuse 10th Ward, 1313 S 2500 W. The viewing will be at 6-- 8 1921 to 1923. Aunt Gwen loved to travel, and she was active in several clubs early years in Idaho. Her first teaching in Nevada was at Moapa where she taught for three years; Ajo, Arizona was her next assignment lasting four years. In 1936, while the Hoover Dam was under construction, she went to Las Vegas to accept a teaching position and served in that position until her retirement in 1966. After retiring, she taught four years more at a small private school for troubled girls. The Clark County, Nevada School District honored Gwen singularly by naming a new The school elementary Gwendolyn R Woolley School. She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ Saints serving in all of Latter-day children, Curtis Phipps and wife Beverley, Bountiful and Sharen Daddaria and husband Ray, El 1 r one time or another. On her 90th birthday, the governor of Nevada declared Gwendolyn Woolley Day in the state of Nevada, and she was honored at a reception. Yenchik, 78, Bountiful, passed away Feb. 13, 1994 after an ill- son-in-la- Brent Wilcox and wife Ann, Beulah Olive Curtis Phipps Beulah Olive Curtis Phipps, 83, passed away Feb. 10, 1994 in San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert William Phipps, and daughter, Joyce. Born in Spanish Fork, Utah on Dec. 10, 1910. her life was dedicated to her husband, family and giving and caring for others. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served as Relief Society president and in other positions. She helped establish and was an owner of Achiever Preschool in Bountiful. She was also a member of the Icelandic Association. She is survived by her loving Luddington, Andrea Beard, Ryan and Heather; Milton Smedley and children Laurie Danowski, Jan Clinger, Lane and Clark; six great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Portia funeral services at the church.
