A year that has taken them both from single parenting to one happy conglomerate. A year that has had old habits put aside, and new vows made to combine families of three and four children. However, even with all those early adjustments new couples must face, according to the Roy couple the most exciting and challenging scene of this tale wasnt acted out until now. For the past six months the Owens family has prepared three of their seven children for 'I Dennis Owens Dennis said his youngest boy, Greg, who is serving a mission in England, came to him six months ago with his decision to go. Carolyn, who works for a Clearfield flower shop, and Dennis, who works as a government gas attendant, said one of their biggest concerns regarding the sweeping motion of missions in their family was finances. Carolyn said this worry has been alleviated by friends and neighbors in the area ward who have donated to the churchs mission fund. However, the other concern in the back of Carolyns mind is the physical hardship one or more of her children may have to endure before it is over. That hardship is known as Vi V ; 9 N s' tff i The Dennis Owens family has already seen two sons, Greg and Denny, leave this year on LDS missions, and another daughter, Angela, will leave in September to serve a Huntingtons disease, a hereditary disease that affects the ner- vous system. One of the three could get it while theyre away, she said about the trio of missionaries who carry the genes that could cause the disorder. But its a concern both Caro I fir) , mission.
