FOR PRICED I 4 A much misunLAYTON derstood situation with a looped water system in the Victorian Oaks development in Layton's north end caused some confusion between City Council members and developers of the subdivision, but all the kinks were worked out and phase two of the project will proceed as planned. ;The water line loop was required by the city engineers and fire department for the protection of the homes to be constructed. The developers were told by the planning Commission and the City Council installation of the loop would have to take place before the second phase of the project could begin. The council members last week said they didnt want to give approval for phase two until the loop was in, and developers said they couldnt proceed to install the loop until they had approval to go ahead with phase two. After some time was spent in I trying to sort the situation through matters were straightened out and the loop, along with phase two, was approved. Bid for Project OKd in Layton LAYTON Bouchard Construction was the apparent low bidder for work to be done on the citys project of downtown rehabilitation of streets and water systems. A bid of $185,989 was accepted by the city, with the stipulation the company comply with the n Act regarding wages. The firm would have to comply with that stipulation because the city will use federal funds to improve the downtown area.
