Show Lakeside Review North, Wednesday, June 13, 1984 Obituaries John Barrett Haws HOOPER John Barrett Haws, 67, of 4608 S. 5900 W died June 4, at the McKay-De- e Hospital following an extended illness. He was born November 30, 1916, In Cedar City, a son of Joseph Forest and Mary Bowler Haws. He spent his early years in the Provo area and moved to Salt Lake City as a young man. On April 16, 1946, he married Marie Wlddison in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. From 1940 to 1942 he served an LDS Mission in Canada. He was a high priest in the Hooper 5th Ward and was high priest group leader and counselor. He was in the superlnten-denc- y of the Lakeview Stake Sunday School, a home teacher and worked in various auxiliary organizations. He served for three years with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He attended Photo Tech Institute in Salt Lake City and became a professional photographer. He spent a year microfilming records for the genealogical society In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He moved to Utah in 1951 and was employed at Hill Air Force Base for six years. He was a real estate broker and a breeder of Arabian horses. He drove a Weber County School bus for 20 years and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Weber County and Utah State Farm Bureaus and of the Davis County Sheriff's - Posse. Surviving are his widow and four sons, Kenneth E. Haws, Greg W. Haws, Wayne B. Haws, Alan W. Haws, all of Hooper and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Ervin L. Haws, Dixie, Washington; Lorin Haws, Layton, Ruth H. Jolley and Lillian H. Scott, both of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sisters Funeral services were held Thurs-da- y in the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Roy with Bishop John Beus of the Hooper 5th LDS Ward officiating. Interment In the Hooper Cemetery. Frank Edward Little .. Frank Edward Little, 73, of 5480 South 2000 West, Roy, died Monday, May 28, 1984, in Laramie, Wyoming of a heart attack returning home from the Colorado Denver L.D.S. Cambodian Mission. ' He was born August 1, 1910, in Ogden, a son of Malachi Lynch and Laura Goodwin Little. He married Wilma Betteridge on December 20, 1934, in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He owned and operated the Frank E. Little Auto and Truck Service in Ogden from 1945 until his retirement in 1975. He was a high priest in the Roy L.D.S. 4th Ward. He had been a scoutmaster, a ward clerk, and Sunday School and YMMIA president. He had also served a Roy Stake Mission and held numerous other positions. He and his wife served 16 months in the Colorado Denver Cambodian Mis- sion. Surviving are his widow of Roy; four sons and one daughter, Frank E. (Ted) Little Jr., Salt Lake City; R. Brent Little, Layton; Kenneth S. Little, Slaterville; Gregory M. Little and Mrs. David (Sharon) Bennion, both of Roy; 17 grandchildren and three great . I , I t Kristie Kay Carr Austin W. Johnson Crenshaw Austin W. Johnson, 401 E. 5th Street, Edmond, Okla., formerly of Syracuse, died May 26 of a heart at age 65. Mrs. Kristie Kay Carr Crenshaw, 28 of 103 DeRum St., Ft. Huachuca, Arizona formerly of Clearfield, died Monday, May 28, 1984, in an automobile accident in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was born October 2, 1955, in Ogden, a daughter of Garlin E. and Shirley Summers Carr. She married Phillip Fred Crenshaw on August 2, 1974, In Clearfield. She has been a nurses aide and had worked in the Weber County Hospital in Roy, Clearfield Convalescent Center and the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Ogden. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1973. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church and was a Relief Society visiting teacher. She had lived in West Germany, Missouri and Arizona with her husband where he served in the U.S. Ar- at-ta- Born August 12, 1918 in Syracuse, the son of Everett William and Emma Stoker Johnson, he was a graduate of Davis High School and Weber State College. He attended the University of Utah before joining the U.S. Air Force. , squadron commander of Class at Randolph Field in San Antonia, Texas, he was credited with 102 flight missions over the Himalayas in the theater during A 40-- G Chlna-India-Ber- my. Surviving are her husband of Fort Huachuca; one son and two daughters, Collin Fred Crenshaw, Amanda Ann Crenshaw and Bethany Kay Crenshaw, all of Fort Huachuca; her parents of Clearfield. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Rodney Carr, Ogden; Mrs. LynnDee Hock, Roy; Mrs. Randall (Lori Ann) Samuel, Blytheville, Arkansas; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Summers, Ogden, and Mrs. Dorcas Carr, Williamsburg, Ken- Gregory, Alburquerque, N.M. and l, Mrs. Michael (Robin) Cauthron, Ida-be- Okla. and five grandchildren. Also surviving, one sister, Mrs. Vaun (Mavis) Barber, Syracuse. He was preceeded in death by a daughter, Kristin Edmondson. Graveside services and burial were held on Tuesday, May 29 in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond. tucky. Later he was associated with Grolier Inc., in New York City as an educational representative. He retired in 1975. A former member of the City council, member of the Kickingbird Golf Assoication, Kiwanis Club, and an active church member, he is survived by his wife, Mary Louise, Edmond, Okla. and daughters, Mrs. John (Cindy) Robert W. Miller Bybee Robert W. Miller, 59, died ROY KAYSVILLE Joseph Dwain Bybee, age 50, died Sunday, May 20, 1984 in an Ogden Hospital of heart June 2, in a Roy nursing home of an extended illness. He was born November 4, 1924, in Middletown, Pennsylvania, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold W. Miller, Sr. failure. He married Shirley May Hassinger on March 28, 1981, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He had worked in the foundry of Bethlehem Steel Corp. Surviving are his widow of Roy; his father of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania and one brother, Harold W. Miller Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
