He sits on the governing board of the National Council of State Governments and on the Legislative Management Committee of the Naitonal Conference of State Legislatures. A veteran of 25 years in Utahs homebuilding and real estate development industries, Bangerter is president of NHB Construction, a partner in Bangerter & Hendrickson Enterprises, and secretary of Dixie-Si- x Land Development. He is recog Course. Bangerter has represented the District in the state legislature since 1974 and has served as speaker of the house since 1980. He was the former majority leader and assistant majority whip and is currently a member of the Legislatures Executive Appropriations Committee. Bangerter has received many honors as a legislator, including 1st S nized as a leader in his local business community and Utahs homebuilding industry. Business and political activities have not deterred Bangerter from civic service. The entire group will go on a four day survival trip in July during which they will learn how to kill and dress a rabbit. Cost of the program is $25. A large hot air balloon will be stationed at the youth center on June 5, which is the anniversary of the first hot air balloon flight Rides in the balloon will be given for $4 per ride. Girls who would like to become proficient in outdoor cooking skills may attend classes on June 1, 4 and 6. Use of a dutch oven, buddy burner, and tin foil and utensilless dinners will be covered in the program, in addition to a lecture on local environment, trails and wildlife.
