According to Sheldon Bagley, of High Tech Sound, Roy High is the only school in Weber County that has had a video dance. Most of my calls are from Salt Lake and Davis County schools. As students gather in small groups to talk and check each other out, the video dance scene doesnt look much different from any other stomp. Only a small percentage of teens dance to most songs. But there are subtle changes, according to Russell. I think its reduced problems. Theres less in and out traffic and the kids seem more mellow. I would guess its because they have something to do if they dont want to dance. A lot of kids just come to socialize. What they want is a place to go where they can be together.
