Seminary holds lovely pin presention Let Your Light So Shine was the inspirational theme of the annual Payson Seminary Graduation and Pin Banquet, which was held at the Santaquin-Tinti- c Stake Center, Saturday evening, May L Approximately 300 Third and Fourth year Seminary students, their leaders, wives and special guests including Stake Presidency members of both takes, were in attendance. Special guest speaker was Brother Vernon Law, a Baseball Coach at BYU, who has played professional baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He told the students and guests that in Pennsylvania he had many opportunities to speak in various congreations about our Mormonism, and he said, You are being watched and must always live up to the standards of our church." He also admonished the group that it is important to be totally committed to the things we Latter-Day-Sai- i hold to be true. Russell Jones, Seminary President, welcomed the guests, and read, The Graduates Creed which is as follows: To wear my pin proudly, To worship God in spirit and in truth. To keep my body, the tabernacle of my soul, free from inpurities, To assist others in their effort to attain the choice things of life, To be responsive to the call of church leaders As one found worthy to wear the Seminary Pin, I pledge myself to achieve these goals.
