Show r lenor Peay on Sunday and Monday was Spring Lake Events Huish Phon 465-263- Mrs. Cecil S. Peery returned to her home Sunday night from Bountiful where she visited with her son, Mr. and Mrs. L.Don Spainhower and family, for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Spainhower brought her home and spent Sunday evening at the Payson Park where they visited with former friends. On their way home they called at the home of Mrs. Peerys daughter-in-laMrs. Ilia Spainhower, at American Fork for a short visit. w, Mrs. Ardella Butler from Murray, her Mrs. Bill (Vickie) Budaughter-in-latler, and year old baby, Becky Rae, from Salt Lake came to Payson on Labor Day to see the parade and visit with friends they have here. In the afternoon they visited with Ardellas mother-in-laMrs. Fanny Butler, and with Mr, and Mrs. Mike Cowan. They also visited at the home of their aunt and uncle, Lenora w, and Ray Huish, accompanied by Mrs. Fanny Butler. Ardella had just arrived at Salt Lake on Thursday from Hawaii where she had spent three months at the home of her brother, taking care of his home while he and his wife were away. She reports she had a wonderful time and enjoyed her stay there. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Zeeman and five children thoroughly enjoyed a four day trip over the Labor Day weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zeeman and daughter, Carma, and Darrells brothers and families, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zee-mand six children and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Zeeman and three children. They went tp Yellowstone National Park and were rather disappointedbecause they saw only one bear. From the park they went to Jackson Hole. After visiting there they traveled to Bear Lake. While camping there the children had fun swimming and playing in the water. Their trip was very pleasant as they took their campers and enjoyed visiting together. an A "houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert their Mrs. Inez Peters, from Blackfoot, Idaho. They attended the parade Monday morning and had dinner at the Peay home. They visited at the park in the afternoon with a nephew, Mr. and Mrs. John Peters, and children from Buena Park, Calif, who had visited in Utah for a while with other relatives and friends.' Mrs. Peters left Monday night to return home, stopping in Salt Lake enroute home. sister-in-la- w, Grandparents and aunts and uncles who were present at the fast meeting Sunday to witness the blessing of the infant daughter of Andy and Joye Jasperson, by her father, when she was given the name o( Nettie JoEl were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jasperson and son, Jeff, and daughter, Shirley, Payson; a Mrs. Nettie Mullinee from Murray; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Butler and family, Randy, Rex, Lana and Jack Butler and his fiance, Miss Diane Greenhalgh, from Santaquin. All the above named gathered at the Andy Jasperson home where they enjoyed dinner and visited together for the afternoon. Miss Chris Hansen from Alamo, Calif, former resident who had been visiting in Utah with relatives for a week, spent Sunday visiting here with Miss Peggy Knapp at her home. Chris attended Sunday a School and fast meeting with Peggy and visited with other friends she knew here. Houseguests Mrs. at the home of Mr. and the three day Elbert Barnett over weekend were their daughters, Linda and Dennis Stanton and two children from Midvale, Jolene and Steven Coon and two children from Provo and Kathy and Roy Moore from Salt Lake. They all spent a very happy weekend together. Mrs. Ronald Nelson and children from Salt Lake visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mower and family on Labor Day. They watched the parade at Payson and visited with relatives and friends at the park. Mr, and Mrs. Byron Thomas from Salt Lake visited in Spring Lake on Sunday. They were returning from a short trip to Southern Utah and Nevada. They had visited Short Creek, Lehman Caves and other places in the area. They visited for a while at the home of Mrs. Elsie Nelson Saturday night before going on to Provo where they were guests of their daughter, Jean and husband, Bob Bluth, and children. They returned to Spring Lake Sunday and attended all of the Sunday meetings held. Mrs. Nelson attended fast meeting with them. year. Maurine is moving back to her home at Ogden so that the children can start school. Mr. Wilson yrho has been serving in Vietnam expects to be home in October. Mrs. LeFevre went with her daughter to help with the children while her daughter was in the process of moving. Mrs. LeFevre returned home Thursday night. ' with her mother, Mrs. Fanny Butler, and with a sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cowan, on Saturday. She also visited with her aunt, Lenora Huish and uncle, Ray Huish, for a short time on her way home. They visited with their mother at the home of a sister, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Peery. They all gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Menlove and had dinner together. Included in the group were Mrs. Rhea Menlove, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Menlove and family, Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Menlove and family, Nephi; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Peery and children, Payson; and the host couple and children. es er. Peter Haskin, from Salt Lake visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Lyman, Friday night and Saturday. They enjoyed riding horses. Refreshments were served by hostesses Mrs. Grant Lyman and Mrs. Vaughn Davis to the 22 members and guests present. Mrs. George LeFevre went to Ogden Tuesday morning with her daughter, Mrs. Monte (Maurine) Wilson, and family, who have been residing in Payson for the past Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Olsen and four children from Riverton visited at the home CHRONICLE 3 just as it always has as the Holiday sponsor. Mrs. Walter Butler led the pledge of allegiance. Club collect was given by Mrs. Watson Lafferty. Mrs. Junior LundeU introduced Mrs. Leland (June) Dickey who entertained the group with her discussion on Doorways to a New Self and how this can be accomplished, She demonstrated how the proper make-u- p can make a wife more attractive. She also displayed some wigs which the club girls had fun trying on. Mrs. Knapp conducted a business meeting and the members drew for the month they will be the hostess. PAYSON Thursday, September 11, 1969 One of Utah's most traditions opens Tuesday, Sept. 16 in a brand new home. Holiday on Ice is indeed a tradition. Held in conjunction with another tradition, the Utah State Fair, Holiday returns to Salt Lake City netx week for the 18th time. For the first time in those 18 years, however, the show will not perform in the Fairgrounds Coliseum. It's no great surprise, though, the Salt Palace was designed for this type of There's more room, better show. seating, an ice rink which is much larger than the portable ones used for years in the Coliseum, and facilities for storage of props, costumes and equipment when not in use. (Vere) Sizemore at Los Gatos. The Sizemores are former Spring Lake residents. While at Tulloch Lake they visited the old historical gold mining town of Columbia which once had a pop- - " ulation of 15,000 and produced more than " $87,000,000 in gold. The town of Columbia is now a state park.
