The party was atScotts home with his mother, Mrs. Calvin Gleave, as hostess. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by all. The boys are now 7 years of age. Pamela is a niece of Bishop and Mrs. Spencer and was formally from Pay-so- n. Saturday. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Terry and family of Delta and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Terry and family and Mr. Arthur Terry of Milford. Phone Mr. Glen Cowen and son RoCowen motored (o their ranch in Wyoming on Saturday. The ranch is 1 o c a t e d twenty-fiv- e miles from Evanston and they report that everything is very beautiful in its fall colors. As she was taking their new car to the garage for minor check-up- s, she heard a spueak in the car. She stopped but the squeak didnt. On arriving at the garage she suggested they locate the squeak. As she came back later to pick up the car and pay the bill she found a slight charge for fixing the squeak $2.75 for removing five motherless hungry squealing mice from way back behind the motor. Needless to say the charge was paid gratefully. Thanks Norma for sharing this humorous story with us. Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Mr. and Mrs. Daley Moon attended Sacrament Services Sunday evening at Heber at which their nephew Kendall Van Wagoner was the speaker. They later attended an open house at Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murdock from Payson were at Fish Lake for a few days doing some fishing last week. Attend Banquet Le- dance. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Seat and family of Salt Lake visited from Friday until Sunday with his mother Mrs. Mammie Seat. October day Tuesday, Grandma Twede paused in her busy schedule of attending Relief Society, bottling fruits and vegetables and making green tomatoe mince meat, to greet relatives and friends who came to extend greetings. Jim Hallam, husband of Sherry Thompson Hallam and father of two sons, is confined to his bed where he has spent the past two months. Mr. Hallam received a broken back in a honda accident up Diamond Fork Canyon. Sherry is a former Purchases Bakery Keith Mendenhall, formerly of Payson, has purchased the Griffin Bakery in American Fork, and with his family is making his home there. Mr. Mendenhall is changing the name of the long established bakery to American Fork Bakery. He is beginning an extensive remodeling project on the exterior and the sales room. Experienced in the trade, Mr. Mendenhall has been employed as manager of a number ofbak-erilocated at Spanish Fork, Loveland and Greeley, Colo., Holaday and Granger. He and his wife, former Jane Tolman of Santaquin, are parents of three little boys, Brent, 10; Robert, 6; and Neil, 2. Mr. Mendenhall is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Spence Mendenhall of Pay-so- n. es Mr. and Mrs. David Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Houser from PaysonvisitedinSaltLake and to attend the Fair Sunday. Earl Nay husband of Marjorie Ann Warren left Friday morning for Viet Nam. Earl is the son of Mrs. Eva Nay and he has a daughter Margo Nay. ON lARGET EVERY TIME Li Edna Van Ausdal, Santaquin, and Percy Jasper, of Payson were married in Elko, Nevada 1968 . They 20, September honeymooned in Nevada, Idaho. Oregon, and Washington. They will make their home in Payson. 81, died Sunday in a Payson hospital of Gwen Parry Huff, causes incident to age. She was a lifetime resident of Lake Shore and Spanish Fork. She was born in Cefn, Wales, Oct. 2, 1886, a daughter of William L. and Margaret Thomas Parry. She came to the United States when four years old. She married Arthur Huff, Nov. 14, 1906, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 2, 1926. Mrs. Huff was an active member of the LDS church having served in many of the organizations. She was past president of the Clef and Pen", and wrote many tributes for friends, neighbors, church and civic affairs. Surviving are four sons and two daughters: Verl, Fallon, Nev.; Lewis, Payson; Reed, Salt Lake City; Lynn (Shortie) Springville; Mrs. Stephen (Blanche) Barney, Anaheim, Cal. ana Ruth Huff, Spanish Fork; 14 grandchildren; seven and a sisMrs. ter, Margaret Orvin, of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Lake Shore Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery directed by the Walker Mortuary. years. On each piece place a slice of lemon and a thin slice of onion. Roast in a hot oven (450 de.) for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients - bring to a boil and pour over ribs. Continue baking at 350 degrees until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add more water. Makes about 4 servings. A Waldorf Salad is especially good right now with apples coming on. WALDORF SALAD 2 cups diced apples 1 cup chopped celery cup broken nuts large banana, cut up Combine all ingredients. Toss lightly with salad dressing and sweeten with a little powdered sugar, if desired. 1 luncheon. Leann Behling, Shanna York, and Rosemay Lundholm gave a demonstration on zippers. We also exhibited biscuits and ro!lst quiet books, dresses and sweaters at the county exhibit in Provo August 19 to 23, Leann Behlings dress and Shanna Yorks rolls went to the State Fair.
