Up to this time there has been no organized standard of teaching of these subjects in these fields. On a visit to Vietnam earlier this year, Steinbeck watched soldiers from the 4th Battalions B Company search rice paddies for hidden arms. The work demanded wading through muck and waist-dee- p water, with the risk of triggering underwater booby traps. Steinbeck suggested that magnets attached to long poles could locate hidden arms without the need for wading. The soldiers liked the idea, but knew of no magnet light enough to be carried conveniently yet powerful enough to do the job. The NOTICE TO CREDITORS ESTATE OF MARY O. REDMOND DECEASED.
