Joyce Penrod, gave the prayer. Leola Orem gave the pledge. The time was spent working on the fair displays. There were five members present. Cake and Ice cream was served by their leader. Total available for Appropriation 12-4- 70 ova Goshen Hopers meeting was held June 29th at the home of Ann Kirk. The meeting was called to order by Glenda Jensen. The opening prayer was given by Pam Miller. The pledge was led by Marcia Stoneman. The remainder of time was spent working on projects and books. Sharon Hanna gave the closing prayer. Refreshments were served by the two leaders present. The 54- FROM GOSHEN Eva Cook - Glen has served one year in Vietnam. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen paratroopers. Mrs. Inez Peterson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Jean Johnson of Los Angeles spent two days visiting their sister Mrs. Beth Hickman and brothers, Jack and Boyd Stansfield and families. PFC Phip Hyde, left for Vietnam, June 27, after a thirty day leave. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rowe of Long Beach, Calif, and Mr. and Mrs. David Rowe, ofSouth-ga- te Calif., returned to their homes after attending the funeral services and burial of their and brother-in-laDon Castleburry of Provo. The Rowes visited their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Olive Bronson at a Provo rest home, two sisters and families, Mrs. Roy (Valena) Okelberry and Mrs. Sher (Ruth) Thomas of Goshen w, son-in-l- Little Blake Beck, three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Beck held a birthday party, June 21, at his home.Eleven guests were present. All enjoyed a beautiful Birthday cake with other refreshments. Pony league ball team played at Santaquin June 29th. The game was won by a score of 10 to 9. Monday they all had an outing at Utah Lake, with a picnic and fishing. The three girls left Tuesday for home. Their Uncle Mr. and Mrs. Lou H insen of Payson, accompanied them. Mrs. Josephine Lux entertained the Sewing Club last Thursday at her home, with ten members present. A delicious luncheon was served. T.ie afternoon was spent in visiting and sewing. Mrs. Erma Johnson of Spanish Fork was a special guest. Present were Pearl Hansen, Emma Steele, Lola Steele, Wilma Jasperson, Margrite Poulson, Meda Woodard, Ruby Steele and Velda Kay.
