Show Crop. Booklets Several outstanding booklets are available to fanners looking for publications on crop technology. of the most important . One of these, booklets has just been published by Utah State Uni, versity, in cooperation with the Soil Improvement Committee of the Pacific Northwest Plant Food Association. This brochure outlines minor elements recommendations for Utah crops. The Soil Improvement Committee is composed of agronomists rpresentmg basic fertilizer manufacturers from Utah. These members cooperate closely with Utah State University research scientists in the development of such booklets and supply, in part funds necessary for their publication. Dr. Roy' C. Lipps, U.S. Steels chief western agronomist, is in charge of the Micronutrient Committee and indicates that this new brochure is an outstanding example of the close cooperation existing between the fertilizer industry in Utah and the Utah State University. Detailed explanations are given which outline soil conditions necessary for iron, manganese and zinc deficiencies as they occur on major crops. Micronu-trien- it fertilizer programs are outlined for use by Utah farmers to combat these serious nutrient deficiency problems.
