The old part of the library registered only 68 degrees It took during that cold spell last week two days for Neil to realize that there may be something really amiss and not just the regular whining coming from the direction of the library It had something to do with the relay and we were back in business in no time have been reading the book group book and it is going to be one of the best ones so far have had several comments on how much the readers are enjoying this selection Dancing at the Rascal Fair by Ivan Doig Did send you your copy? Night of 1000 Stars is on for April 12 at 700 p m at the Delta South ementary Don’t forget to pack up your blankets and pillows for a night of stories and fun tried to squeeze the Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife banner off the front page of the paper but the Chronicle stood their ground So what if they’ve had it ordered for three weeks What’s more important - reading or fishing9 Okay let’s try reading or hunting9 Since have had a few people ask about the ins and outs of Internet use the library is offering classes These classes will be free of charge and open to one and all (except those smarter than the instructor) sheets ready for need to get the those interested parties We’re thinking of offering both morning and night time the on classes depending preference of those signing up I’ll let you know when to rev up the old Ford and cruise to the j i v I April Makena Rowley Update on child ill Makena Row Icy daughter of Rett and W endy Rowley and granddaughter of Barbara Quiroz aVon and June Row ley and Crandall Gum Nielson has been released from Primary Children's Medical Center and into her parents care Her condition Mcmbrano Proliferative Glomerulonephritis (MPGN) is chronic but is improving She has lab work done and is seen by her doctors 2 to 3 times a week to monitor her condition Makena's parents have expressed their deep appreciation for everyone’s love and concern and ask that everyone continue to remember her in their prayers Makena is on a variety of medications which have lowered her immune sy stem so at this time she is unable to have visitors Donations for her medical care continue to be accepted at ions and irst Security Bank and at Millard County Credit Union Delta and Fillmore offices in Salt I After 29 years American Inventor Gordon Gould finally received a patent for the laser In 1986 Bonnie & Clyde 2001 PT Cruiser by Chrysler ifaAaki 9lhtm $nc 597 N Delta Hwy 6 Utah geed Jtah at modi ItJUt FREE Fill ' 8100 CASH DRAWING out this ad and send in for our MAY DRAWING South Town Mortgage Kellie Carter Baker 15 S Mam Fillmore 84631 Toll Free 888 743 4404 Enter everytime you see this ad during the month of APRIL no purchase necessary I'm Interested Equity In Line of Credit Refinance Debt Consolidation Name Address Phone What does the D Cash Out Not Interested Purchase There is no cost to you For pre approval can meet with you hours weekends WORK FOR VOU and at your home Drawing May 4 Bible say: Importance of Obedience O CHURCH OF CHRIST Instructions are on everything we purchase today Those instructions include warnings some of which appear ridiculous You almost wonder people didn’t know better than to do some of the things they warned against then they shouldn t even have the object We see a warning at the gas pumps- “No smoking Now should have to be warned about the dangers ot the explosive nature of gasoline9 Maybe so1 But warnings sre important and serve as valuable information to all of us God s book is tilled with warning signs In (Num 20 8) the Israelites were again asking for water and God gives instructions to Moses as to how it might be obtained This time he was to speak to the rock whereas on an earlier occasion he was told to strike the rock (Exodus 17 6) Later when the instance of Moses’ disobedience to God was being considered God reminds Moses that he doesn’t want to hear any more about the matter God's decision will stand- Moses and Aaron cannot enter the promised land becajse of the rebellion of stnkmg the rock Please consder some valuable lessons from this story as it relates to our obed ence today (Romans 15 4) (1) we are going to ask God for he'p be prepared to do what He tells us to do (Num 220 6 James 5) When God directs us in His work as to what we are to do or not do we should not then do as we wish (2)Don't assume what was good enough before will be good enough now (3)Beware of taking credit or shanng credit for what God has done(Num 20 0) When making plans be sure and include God (James (4)Just because it works does not make it nght God gave the water but Moses was still in defiance of God’s word Far too many people think that as long as you get the results it makes little difference how it was done Consider the story ot Moses God has given us directions to test our faith Do we trust Him enough to do His way9 Gary Puryear r |
