others f very decision we make does have sane impact cither for the present or the future It is sad but true that many use the wrong criteria for deciding what to do or not do Moses had to make a rnaor decision that is discussed in 24 26) There are two elements that arc required in making (Hebrews he negative part proper choices in life when it canes to good and evil ( involves saying “NO" to the things that can lead us astray Moses refused to be called the son of I’haroah’s daughter With that Moses gave up a lot ot special treatment and surelv was a disappointment to her He gave up the pleasures of sin vs 2M and the treasures ot gypt (vs 26) No doubt one day Moses would have ruled on the throncof gvpt Partoomany today arc trying to say “Yes" to Jesus when they have never said "No" to the devil his makes John 2 15 !7Co3 Friend you mav be for a miserable relationship in a religion that allows you to do any number of sinful things and still have their blessing but that is not and never has been God is way A religion that docs not set the high standard that God has placed in His word is not deserv mg of any followers (2) In making the proper choices there must also be the positive Moses chose to suffer with the people of God (vs 25) and to endure whatever cane his wav Moses endured because he kept his eye on the “invisible one” (vs 27) It’s not enough to just turn from evil and then try to live a good life by ourselves for without Chrst there is no fogiveness (Matthew 12 30) Moses wanted more than seasonal pleasure tvs 25) for he knew that we reap what we saw Sin in retrospect is ugly and the picture d'vcsn’t get any bet'er (Revelation 22 14) "Blessed are they that do his th it they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in commandments " Yes we choose v here we will through the gates into the cit spend eternity hiu wuy by the cnoices we naxe in lite Garv Purv ear |
