year old male juvenile was arrested at his residence in Fool Creek by Deputy Roger Young Young charged the subject into 4 District Juvenile Court with Class B misd possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana Items were found in his bedroom including a smashed pop can with holes pocked in it which is commonly used to smoke with W ednesdiy Mirch 22 9 00 p m A 17 year old male juvenile was charged into juvenile court with Class B misd theft after an incident m Oak City Deputy Steve Allred was dispaiched to the report of a theft from the Schwan's Ice Cream truck Apparently the boy had taken 3 cases of non frozen juice concentrate from the Schwan's truck while it was parked near 200 S Main in Oak City He was caught by the truck driver and attempted to run from the scene but dropped a case of the juice and stopped The diver took the items back from him and he ran to his residence and would not open the door Allred’s report said that the boy later left the residence and was followed by the driver in the Schwan's truck in an effort to stop him All of this information was gathered prior to the boy being referred for the incident The items valued at $15 were all recovered Thursday March 23 9 40 am RabertC Wilson Delta was arrested by Deputy Alan Purvis at 2167 West 1500 South in Delta The arrest concluded a continuing investigation by Purvis of a chide burglary at the parking lot of Delta High School on March 8 2000 Purv is said that an 800 wart stereo amplifier valued at S220 had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle there Further investigation led to Wilson as a suspect and Purvis approached him in reference to the theft which he denied After the initial contact by Purvis W ilson left his residence and drove to a field at the above address and Chuck Both were subjects were being treated at Della Hospital when the officers arrived initially The investigation determined that the suspect Don Michael Hoffman 5 Delta UT had assaulted his ife in front of their three ear old child According to the report the child begged him not to kill mommy After the assault Hoffman then took an overdose of prescription medication in an attempt to kill himself He stabilized at Delta Hospital and was then transferred by ambulance to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo where he was admitted to intensive care The female victim was treated for massive bruising to her forehead face and under her chin as well as bruising to her chest wall under one of her arms She was later released Upon his release from the hospital Sunday Hoffman was taken into custody by Deputy Purvis He was booked into the Millard County Jail and charged into Delta City Justice Court w ith Class B misd domestic assault He appeared in front of Judge Ron Hare who set bail at
