hospital Twins twins in a rural hospital It doesn’t happen often and when it does it's a real esentl The twin girls Nicole Ada and Samantha Emily are the daughters of Stephanie R and Alexander Bahe Babbitt They were born on January 5 1989 at 9 17 and 9 18 respectively Both babies weighed 7 pounds and 8 ounces which is another rare occurrence The last twins born in the f lllmore years ago Twins hospital armed in about 250 deliveries but represent are not often delivered in community hospitals because of the frequent complications involved in twin pregnancies especially premature births It takes lots of hands to deliver twin babies In this case the birth was tended by 3 physicians Dr Brent Jackson being the primary physician nurses and the anesthetist It takes this many people to insure adequate are for all three (mother and each baby patients Tins makes the fourth set of twins delivered in the I illmore hospital in the last 8 years with two additional sets of twins being delivered in Provo and Salt Lake in the same time period We are very fortunate to have this beautiful facility in our area and to have very capable physicians which allow us to be involved in these very special Children’s book from the US President’s Senes on President Millard Fillmore The book has been enscribed by both the author and the editor of the series 8e appreciate this gift which will help school volunteers Stella Day was selected and honored posthumously with a plaque as the outstanding '‘Lifetime Volunteer" Her plaque was received for the family by Dwight A beautiful Huntsman a nephew was written and given by tribute Cathryn Nielsen and a biographical portrait in oils was displayed by Mrs Hunter The music for the program was accompanied presented by the Other special bv Marlene Crosland plaques were presented to Dr Brent D Jackson by the Library Board for his support in donating his entire salary for the four vears he served on the F lllmore W e I C ity Council and to Edith S Callister presented from the City Council for her untiring work in gardening and landscaping at the North Park given by Jack McBride who praised her for her great contribution ibrary Service certificates were announced for: East Millard Fine Arts Coats for the Summer Story Hour series of ten weeks Kerry W atson Jr for assisting with this project as a service for his Sterling Scholar project Toby Manzanaras and Lorin Taylor for tutoring in the Spanish English literacy project Tammy Hare Bonnie Bennett and Kathy Sparrow for service hours Gwen Rowley volunteer hours and Ray Rowley for refinishing seven hard wood chairs & Nhow Demonstration Quilt T here are ten lovely quilts on display until Jan 21 dating from over a hundred years ago up to the present Traditional patterns and variations of crazy patch and log cabin among them We appreciate the loan of two from the Statehouse Museum Other traditional home industry crafts are on display Pam I reeman demonstrated carding and spinning wool on her small wheel and on a larger one from the Museum She answered questions about the whole process for the good sized crowd who attended the Open House The library board furnished and
