' Administrator of Roy Barraclough Fillmore Community Hospital and Delta Community Medical Center will take over as Assistant Administrator of the Heritage School for young men and women in Orem on Jan 3 1989 InHealth termountain Care officials announced The Heritage School which is afwith IHC’s Utah Valley filiated Regional Medical Center in Provo is residential treata ment program for boys and girls of junior high and high school age with behavorial and other problems from Delta and “My departure Fillmore at this time is difficult because I’ve got five years invested here and would like to see things through to completion” Barraclough said “but I consider myself a team player and one who loves challenges And I see this new position at Heritage as an opportunity to respond to an invitation from in assisting in the the corporation development of a project with what I see as having great potential” Barraclough said that while his time in Millard County has been the busiest in his career it has also been the most exciting and fulfilling When he came to Millard County Barraclough became the first administrator with 1HC to test the integrated health care model which over meant he became administrator two facilities that were seperated by a 40 mile one way drive In the past four and a half years Barraclough has put about 240000 miles on his car as he commuted between the Fillmore and Delta hospitals sometimes up to four times a day One of Barraclough’s main responsibilities when he first arrived in Millard County was to oversee the completion of the new Delta Community Medical Center and move the old acute care center into that facility The old acute care center was then remodeled and turned into a long term care center called the West Millard Care n ao r critical junction” Barraclough said “What we’ve been able to accomplish in Millard County is an ideal example of how a community and such as IHC have been corporation able to come together and give rural residents the best possible health care available” During his time in Millard County Barraclough helped establish three outreach clinics in small communities in the county established and helped manage a clinic at the Intermountain Power Plant site coordinated the construction of a senior housing apartment complex in Delta that was adjacent to the long term tare facility and was appointed to
