engineers and agents have received requests for information concerning the proposed construction of an incinerator and landfill near Lynndyl Utah for use in disposing of hazardous waste materials Rollins Environmental Services Inc has prepared and delivered a fact sheet to the Town of Lynndyl Planning and Zoning Commission which was designed to repsond to the most often asked questions received from the public and from the Planning and Zoning Commission The fact sheet reads as follows: ROLLINS UTAH ENVIRONMENTAL INCINERATOR FACILITY SERVICES FACT SHEET applying for authorization to areas and meet or exceed strict federal standards for clean air and clean water supplies and work closely with local state and federal officials in building operating and maintaining facilities The following facts may help individuals further understand the Rollins facility: 1 Rollins does not process nuclear materials This facility would not accept store process or incinerate nuclear wastes 2 This plant would not accept store process or incinerate either PCBs or dioxins 3 The plant would cost in excess of $30 million dollars to construct The property taxes paid by Rollins to Millard County 1987) 4 Based on the design submitted for approval to the State of Utah this facility would: (a) Employ approximately 150 people with 80 to 90 of the employees coming from the existing Utah work force hazardous waste fees of approximately $640000 per year 10 ($64000) of which would be returned to the town of Lynndyl 5 Traffic would increase from employees by up to 100 cars per day each way and there would also trucks per day bringing materials to the be from plant One or two rail cars per day would also arrive on a track built on the property 6 The process of permitting this facility would with their daughter Jean Black and family A few weeks ago we drove up Fillmore Canyon It was the first time we have been there since the floods tore the canyon and creek up four years ago I must say I was really disappointed I am wondering whose idea it was to put this road up on top in the hot sun The way it was before we went to the canyon to find a cool spot for picnics and family get togethers On a Sunday afternoon you would pass quite a number of cars full of people out to enjoy the creek and canyon This day we went up pretty high and we only passed one car The road is too rough and wash boardy for one to want to drive it more than once I would like to know the reasoning behind this road I can’t believe the road couldn’t have been built in the bottom of the canyon The built the first road with teams of horses I expected changes but not such a big disappointment craters on the About 500000 Moon can be seen from the Earth through the largest and most powerful telescopes Hll Come In
