on Sunday She was given the name of Chelsey Kay and was blessed by her father Hans Lovell was confirmed a member of the church the same Sunday Others attending the blessing and confirmation were Julie’s parents Revell and Delores Miller of Mesa AZ William’s parents Bruce and Vee Lovell his sister Mrs Deb Lopez brother Mrs Less Lovell and family all of Oak City It was a very happy day for all the family members Bishop Manley Abbott and wife Maxine went to their daughter Patty and Mike Hymas and family’s home in West Point for Thanksgiving Other family members in attendance were Mrs Tony Abbott and family Clearfield Mrs Mike Pearce and family Hyrum Mrs Danny Abbott and family Clinton They had a very enjoyable time together Mrs Terry Abbott and family were unable to attend as they were moving They are visiting parents Bishop Manley and Maxine Abbott at the present time Doug and Arlene Terry from Ely NV visited with mother LaVern Terry They had a nice visit Mrs Ron Alloway spent Thanksgiving in Vernon at the home of her sister Betty Thomas and family Other family members enjoying the day with them were Mrs Patsy Holden and family of Vernon mother Marjorie Black and Mrs Jeanne Taylor and family They had a very enjoyable time together Larry and Mary Oliver and family spent Thanksgiving Day in Eureka with Mary’s sister They enjoyed a good dinner and visiting Mrs Cecil Shurtz had their daughter Peggy and husband and five little girls from Salt Lake visit with them Peggy is still recovering from bad burns she received a while back Paul Hardy son of Clark and has returned to St Evelyn Hardy George after spending some time at home recuperating from his bad acci dent We wish continued success in the healing of his burns Mrs Lois Greene and Ralph and June Lounsbury enjoyed some good visits with him Mrs Hilda Oliver went to Nephi and had Thanksgiving dinner with son Ron and Norma at Norma’s father’s home Mr dead Blackett Other family members also enjoyed the day Hilda went to Farmington with Ron and Norma where they have moved into a lovely new home She stayed with them and then went to Salt Lake and stayed with her sister Ila Carnell Her son Carl came and picked her up there and she returned to his home with him in Orem She stayed and visited him and Darlene and then they brought her home on Sunday They all visited Larry and Carl and family in the afternoon Darlene returned home that evening Hilda’s grandson Todd is doing real well after his deer hunt accident Utah Parks and Recreation seeks volunteer vehicle instructors In compliance with the new vehicle laws and rules education classes will soon be offered through the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation The Division is curto teach rently seeking volunteers snowmobile ATV andor motorcycle classes Instructors must be at least 18 years of age have a current valid driver’s license and have no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the previous five years If product Bank’s SuperKnow knowledge game competition Delta’s team the Delta Big Chills representing First Security in Delta scored 68 points and Fillmore’s team First the Super Eight representing Security Bank in Fillmore scored 66 points in the divisional preliminary round to qualify for the finals The teams now move on to three weeks of finals competition and will be trying to earn a berth
