Christmas goods everyone we haven’t written all year decorate the tree and living room for and keep up the regular Christmas chores of laundry meals and house so cleaning No wonder women feel much stress during the holiday” plains Dr Katherine Greenwood The holidays are known to put some mothers in over their heads “The holidays should be relaxing” says Dr Greenwood Cooking should be simple and planned in advance Baking for all the neighbors can be too much when a simple card could do just fine We tend to get so busy doing that we forget that the most valuable gift is not in giving presents and service Dr Greenwood believes the “spending time being available” for your imspouse and children is a far more portant and valued gift than what mothers and wives often spend their energies on during the holiday season “You’re not much good to others when you’re not in good shape yourself” Dr Greenwood explains “Taking on more than is reasonable during the holidays can greatly detract from sharing time with your family” “Taking care of yourself first is essential to being valuable to others” says Dr Greenwood “I come first” is an important attitude To reserve time for proper sleep exercise and time to read and relax Then when you have taken time for yourself you are in much better condition to spend time with your husband and children Question: After the holidays there is an assortment of breads left over What are some delicious ways to use them? Answer: Slice into cubes and saute in herb butter for croutons Layer cubes with cheese and milk for a baked strata Stir cubes together (especially fruit and nut breads) with raisins milk and eggs for bread pudding Butter the slices and r season with or with garlic and bake them until golden brown for rusk Or simply toast the bread crumble and use as bread crumbs in your favorite recipes A SUGARVILLE SERVICE CENTER Repairs - Service - Batteries Adjustments - All Makes FREE Hearing Evaluations FldiralLandBwk advice to local women December 31987 Delta Utah Stake Center at 7:30 pm rooms upstairs in the priesthood Departments for all Cub Scout leaders will be held: Den Leaders Webelos Leaders Cub Masters and Committee Leaders Ideas for January’s Theme “American Folklore” will be given and information on upcoming events Thursday January 7 1988 Roundtable Delta Utah Stake Center at 7:30 pm in the cultural hall This will be a Blue and Gold Banquet Food fun awards and ideas for your own Blue and Gold to fit February’s theme “Great Events of Psychiatrist offers holiday Homs visits welcome BATES HEARING AID SERVICE RIVERTON UTAH f000QCie09C06aB0000000l009000OC9aMI008000nm Hastings and family West Valley City Bob and Beverly Allred and family Deseret Steven and Melody Losee and family West Jordan Warren and Sheila Allen and family Orangeville Vance and Marsha Lovell Delta and Justin and Cindy Peatross of Provo Eugene is thoroughly enjoying being home all the time We are certainly happy to have Malinda and Todd Harris for neighbors They are living in her grandmother’s home which was Stella Shurtz’s Sure nice to see a light there at nights Ed and Babe DeWolf and family who live next to Roy Losee had Roy and Reva to Thanksgiving dinner Everyone enjoyed the time together Mrs Tony Clark had his mother Mrs Catherine Clark and sister Virginia from Woodland Hills CA visit with them for a week They also visited in Salt Lake When they returned home Jeri went with them and spent a week in Calif She flew back She joyed her trip and had a real good visit Linda Lee Clark has moved home with parents Tony and Jeri Clark Tony and Jeri had Linda Lee and Suzanne and Bryan Christensen and son for Thanksgiving dinner Mrs Eugene Losee had Thanksgiving dinner at the home of daughter Marsha and Vance Lovell of Delta Other guests enjoying the dinner were Mrs Bob Allred and family Mrs Roger Shurtz and family Enoch Mrs Steven Losee and family West Jordan Mrs Warren Allen and family of 27 enjoyed the dinner Orangeville together Eugene and June Losee went to the Jordan River Temple with grandson Greg Hastings son of Floyd and Barbara Hastings He has been called on a mission to San Diego CA Mrs Elden Shurtz have their daughter Kay and Brent Sessions and family of Munds Park AZ home for a weeks visit Mrs Gary Shurtz and family spent Thanksgiving day and had dinner with her parents Don and Barbara Dafoe Malinda and Todd Harris had Thanksgiving dinner with his parents Mrs John Harris David Shurtz is home for a week visiting his parents Elden and Ireta Shurtz He is employed in Tacoma WA Mrs Jay Shurtz entertained guests for Thanksgiving dinner Those attending were Mrs Elden Shurtz and Adam Mrs Ron Mosher and 2 boys of Orem Josh Shurtz from Sandy mother Mary Robinson of Fillmore Kay and Brent Sessions and family of Munds Park AZ and David Shurtz from Tacoma WA They had an enjoyable day together We congratulate William and Julie Lovell on their new baby girl led and Faye Clark have a new born to Pat and Ed granddaughter Hall of Salt Lake She weighed in at 8 lbs and will be named Amanda She makes nine grandchildren for Ted and I aye She was born Nov 25 Ted and Faye Clark and son Ken enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with son Paul Clark and family of Deseret |
