Center had a son Randy Jr he had not seen since the son was the father was 3 months old Randy called in to the Army with Uncle Sam boys as I remember the story told me ill and was mother became Randy’s For the raised by his grandmother many past years Randy’s son Randy Jr’s wereabouts were not known to his father Just this past season the whereabouts of Randy Jr were located by telephone calls and letters exchanged between parties and arrangements for the son who had located his father here in the Delta Care Center The Veterans of Foreign War made contact with Quetta Morrow here in the Sands Apts for the son Randy to come to visit his father Randy and Quetta Morrow He and his wife and family came from MI where he has a good Romeo business of his own Both Randys had a delightful chance to greet each other barbecue was A very delightful planned and held on the east lawn of the Sands center Many family relatives and friends and of Randy Quetta were present to share this one time unusual joy with friends of the Sands and Care Center Many nurses from the Care Center came to enjoy the fun and for this food prepared oustanding festive occasion This is a true story with many adventures of families with a long time lost father and his son getting together and enjoying a few hours of real happiness together with loved ones Holly Ellis brother of Quetta’s first husband Joe Ellis and wife came from Coalville UT on June 10 and visited with Quetta here at the Sands another day of joy Golda Christensen spent 9 days over to Delta CO with her daughter Ilah and husband Dale Little They drove over to Delta in his care and she flew back to Delta on an airplane She had a wonderful visit Lieutenant Colonel Calvin R Maures wife Jan and daughter Lisla visited Mary Bassett and sister Louise Lyman at the Sands Saturday They are VA going on to from Alexandria Logan Utah for a Maures family reunion We enjoyed having them visit with us Surprises always seem welcome after a real of them stayed part of the week June Arthur and Beth Allen have had some of their children home Ron and LaDawn Berkey who returned Sun to their home in Cedar City Mrs Bill (Pat) Glassman of Ogden Mrs Paul (Cindy) Astle and daughters Heather Tiffany and twins Megan and Amanda of Murray They also visited sister the Kevin Marlene and family their brother David and Christensens Vicky and sons Kyle and Robert of Fillmore Jim Flaherty brought his wife Susan and their three children to visit her parents Ivin and Marge Christensen After an overnight visit here Jim returned to their home in Logan leaving Susan and the children for a couple of weeks She will also visit her brother Fred his wife Paula and family who live here Mrs Glenda Peterson of Kaysville is here at the home of her daughter and Brenda and Alden Robison She is caring for the grandchildren Scott Susie and Sally while their parents are on vacation The Robinsons met mother Glenda at the Salt Lake Airport about the middle of May when she returned from a one year mission for the LDS Church in the Phillipines Dr Darnell was here over the weekend with his wife Yvonne and their children Ben and Juliet He has a practice in Lyla Rae Morris Delta Russell and Leslie There were 20 and son Hinckley and 11 great grandgrandchildren children This was the first time they had all been together in 3 years (Mom and Dad had to bribe them with sharing a fatted calf to get them all together at the same time) But a good time was had by all Cluff and Ruth Talbot and Evelyn Morris attended Sacrament Meeting at the Delta Fourth Ward to Belva Morris Ruth Talbot Grayce Pace drove to Provo where they met their cousin Lillian Moody and drove onn to Midvale where they had lunch with their sister Bertha Barton They enjoyed a good visit While they were there they had fun at Lagoon Jan and Phyllis Tippetts spent a day last week with relatives and friends in Hinckley They came for the graduation of Brian Dutson son of Sue and Doyle Dutson Hinckley First Ward High Priest ABRAHAM Lola Stoneking along with Helen Watson and Bessie Webb went to Salt Lake on June 5 to attend funeral serVidella Webb vices for a cousin Nelson Afton Petersen was glad of a chance to go to Houston TX where she spent several days with her daughter Diane and husband Bob Richins and Jennifer and Shelley She daughters went with Doug and Jane Johnson who went to Atlanta GA to bring a for the school district back school bus When Doug and Jane changed planes in Houston Diane met the plane and Afton stayed there Doug and Jane went on to Atlanta and were able to see a lot of the US bringing the bus home They stopped in Clinton OK to visit the Army Base Doug was stationed at some 20 years ago They spent a day in Houston with Diane and then headed Some of their children came to Mammoth to help them get moved the plane Ladd came to Salt Lake on His sister Marilyn Sherrif met the plane and brought him down Dorothy and her children came with their
