joyful time for all concerned Mrs Loraine Palmer had eye surgery at American Fork under Dr Hunsaker She is now at home here in the Sands and is resting up so the eye may heal properly She is doing well Almost every evening at 7:30 am a group of women arrive in the foyer to spend time together chatting and workof knitting and ing on handicrafts crocheting and embroidery work of many varieties Many times at this hour of the evening doughnuts cookies and candy and cake arrive for the joy of the ladies The time spent is one of relaxation and accomplishment Mrs Margery Holley fell last Friday April 18 in her apartment and was taken on Saturday to the Payson Hospital for surgery on her damaged hip She arrived home April 24 So far all seems to be going well for her Our best wishes for her speedy recovery friends and from all the apartment neighbors Scott Nickle elected state officer The Utah Funeral Directors Association recently elected new officers and directors for the year Scott Nickle of Nickle Mortuary in Delta was elected for the organization Hinckley Alumni Banquet The Annual Alumni Banquet of the Millard High School Hinckley Academy Association will be held at Hall the Hinckley Ward Cultural May 9 at 7 pm Saturday Even though the school has been closed since 1953 former students and their partners come from far and near At Saturdays event distinguished service awards will be presented to two persons- -a former faculty member and a former student also recognition for will be classes Shauna Nelson and Cathy Cook According to Cathy and Shauna becoming a part of group such as Super Sensationals is a winning experience It can help shape and build youth keeping them away from trouble and leading to successful futures The dancers say their directors have learned to work hard to be responsible and dependable to work as a team and to be considerate of others They have built through their experiences and they have learned to conduct themselves in a
