The concert, which was held in the College Cox Auditorium at 8 p.m., as free to the public. The choirs are under the direction of h J. Kim. The groups rehearsed for 12 ieeks to prepare themselves for the con-:er- t. Dixie i the chorale, a comprised of both students and dults from the St. George area, presented ohann Sebastian Bachs "Magnificat." "Magnificat" is a song of praise for the lrgin Mary. "I felt like I learned even more about this music the second time through. I enjoyed being able to read the music, and I thought our voices really blended well together," said Sullivan. Dixie Colleges other two choirs, the Chamber Singers and Womens Chorus, will perform in concert on Dec. 9. Kim said that the Dixie College Chorus is open to all students, whether they have had vocal experience or not. The class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1 1 "Singing in the choir is a great opportunity because you learn different things in a choir setting than you would in a voice lesson.
