Sidewalks, curb and gutter, road and parking lot paving east and north of the Dixie Center were completed just in time for use during the Rotary Bowl, last Saturday. According to Mr. Orton, the grading and paving of the east road was accomplished by St. George City volved and by Thursday evening the entire project was finished. He went on to say Now, I think this really indicates the level and quality of commitment of our people and shows the extent of our community spirit. The first phase of the project involved landscaping the front and south sides of the Dixie Center and was completed in Washington County road crews and funded by the two government entities. Mr. Orton indicated that materials used in the parking lot and the adjoining curb and sidewalk pioject were donated through the combined efforts of the professional people in the community, including doc- tors, dentists, attorneys, pharmacists and other state licensed professionals. Mr. Oi ton said We met last Monday morning with three oi four businessmen in o several work sessions by dozens of St. George citizens. Hundreds of school children combined their pennys, nickels, dimes and quarters, to purchase many of the trees and shrubs, used in the project.
