The Rebels outplayed the Golden Eagles for the first 10 minutes of the half but they faltered and the Eagles defeated the Rebels 112-10- 6. This loss drops the Rebels to in Region and 3 on the 1 8-- season. On Friday, the Rebels lead throughout the first half but an II-- 0 run by the Chukkars tied the score at 68. The Rebels let the Chukars back in the game by committing turnovers. But the Rebels did not lay down and die, as they were lead back by Sophomore guard Bob Barnes. Barnes hit two con secutive baskets, one a three pointer, to spark the Rebels to a 17-- 2 run that put the Rebels up for good. The Rebels produced their most balanced scoring attack of the season as they were again lead by Sophomore sensation Richard Ramey. Ramey ended up with 18. Others were as follows: Darwin Russell (15), Bob Barnes Darwin Russell produced another fine outing as he chipped in 24 points. The Rebels will return home to Burns Arena this weekend to play CEU on Friday and Coln orado on Satru-daThe games will begin at 7:30 p.m. North-Wester- y. game. The Rebels were lead by none other than Richard Ramey. He lead all scorers with 26 points. didnt know what the problem was but it could have been the long bus ride. The Lady Rebels were paced by Jennifer Williams and Kim Langford as they each scored 16 points. Kathy Slack also added 8 points for the frustrated Lady Rebels. The Rebels will be back in action this weekend as the face CEU on Friday and Colorado North-Wester- n on Saturday. The two teams that played in the championship play-off- s were Cow Fab and the Fusky Huskies with Cow Fab taking this years 1st place award. Referees were also Dixie College students who volunteered their time to risk being ripped on by the players. From a personal point of view, even though my team never won a game it was a lot of fun just getting away from my studies and participating. We now move on to basketball and a new season.
