Show Page 2, DIXIE SUN February 11, 1983 Dixie is the Place to Be by Cindy Penrod Dixie College is one place many students are glad to be, and 1 am one of them. I am a Dixie enthusiast, and a Dixie supporter all the way. I have visited many college campuses, and have written to several in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah, but out of all the many, I chose Dixie as the place to grow, learn, and further my education. Why is this school the place to be? Well for one, this campus is one of the nicest and most attractive college campuses in the state of Utah. Secondly, the desert climate makes Dixie an place to live without snow. enjoyable year-lonis that the St. George area is reason third The close to Las Vegas, Nevada and such areas as Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon and lakes such as Mead and Powell. Some individuals may say that there is nothing to do in St. George, but those people must be blind. I have looked around and found all kinds small town. Of all the neat things here at Dixie, we cant forget all the great teachers that spend many hours in teaching and counseling us. The teachers at Dixie College are great because they really care and are concerned and willing to help the individual student. The last and most important thing to me is the many close friendships I have made. Dixie is just a fantastic place to be, and I love it. The activities, climate, teachers, community, and friends make up this great college, so we should be proud and thankful for being here. I agree with many people who have said, There is no life after Dixie, and Dixie is definitely the place to be. 15th.
