| Show GRAND OPENING AT THE LIBRARY on saturday Satu iday next the brigham city pubic library will have a grand opening and the officials in charge extend a hearty welcome to all citizens of this community and any others who might be interested to visit the reading room the building has recently undergone a thorough renovation receiving afresh a fresh coat of paint new furniture has been installed numerous volumes have 1 ican an added and the place has grown in every way beginning saturday a new system will be introduced in the loaning of books it is similar to a card index system and every person desiring to loan a book from froin the librae library y must first get an application caid which must be filled out and returned to the librarian on the fly leaf of each book is a little pocket enN envelope elope containing a bard card bearing the title of the book and the he name of the author when the application card is returned to the librarian br arian she gives the applicant a card which entitles entities him or her to go to the library at any time and get a book but the loan card must be presented to the librarian who will substitute it for the title card in the pocket of tb the b book k which she keeps on file until the book is returned and in that way every book can be kept track of and it can be determined just how bow long each volume has been absent from the reading room miss young desires that all citizens of brigham will call at the library next saturday and get supplied w with ith application cards the new volumes recently added to the stock in the library will be on display at the horsley book store and the 28 magazines which come to the institution each week or month can be seen at the eddy drug store the rental fiction stock has recently been added to by the following volumes volume the fear of living tackling matrimony the woman thou davest me the inside of the cup rose of old hearth polly of the hospital staff polly of lady gay cottage Cross riggs the heart of the hills V V s eyes air pratts patients the judgment house |
