| Show BOARD OF HEALTH MEANS BUSINESS at a meeting of the city board ol of health mayor and city Council held yesterday the matter of cleaning up the city was thoroughly gone into and the city fathers authorized the health doard board to adopt any measures necessary tobaie to have the city thoroughly cleaned up w with th the assurance that the administration would be right hack back up behind the movement aup supporting porting the doard board in everything that is done it Is therefore proposed to inz inaugurate gur a campaign of 0 i enforcement of health and sanitary regulations the board being determined to carry out the measures decided upon whether s some ome people like it or not those who will not accept the kind suggestion of the officials will have the pleasure of seeing the work done by others and the costs will be assessed against them the board Is ilso also going after the cases of whooping cough which are abroad in this city many of which have never been reported all families who ho tall fail to report a case will be searched out and dealt with according to law advises the board of health tor for it is the determination of the members to put a stop once and for all to the hiding biding up of contagious disease thereby spreading it broadcast through the community A strict quarantine will be maintained in every case of bf whooping cough or any other contagious and those who aho do not observe the regulations will have to suffer euffer the consequences this determined action of the health officials backed up by the city tra ration tion will ill meet the hearty approval of that class of citizens who are in the great majority too who are careful themselves to recognize the rights ot of others |
