| Show EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATES the high school assembly room presented an animated and beautiful picture last friday cloning upon the 0 occasion of the commencement exercises ot of the elementary schools the great room was packed to ae the doors z and the hulls balls were congested by crowds of young people who were unable to gain entrance to the assembly the eighth grade graduates excepting those from the tar far western schools occupied the seats immediately in front of the rostrum and eK extending tend back to the raised balcony the girls were dressed in white with bo of flowers adding a touch of 0 color to the scheme and the boys looked immaculate in their best sun day ay clothes which had been specially pressed dressed tor for the occasion but the expression on the faces or of all was the dominant feature of the grand scope and while there were just as many different faces as there were graduates yet there was just one expression Dres sion that of supreme happiness which reached a climax as the boys and girls marched up and on to the rostrum and received their diplomas irom from the president ot of the board of 0 education nearly every boy and girl was so happy that he and she did not forget to whisper thank you to president coombs as the precious parchment was placed in their hands and they hurried on with measured step to give way to tile the next in line it was a grand spectacle indeed each school being applauded as the students arose and began the march to the rostrum it is a safe bet that many a parent eye was dimmed with tears of gratitude as our boy or our girl passed before the hundreds of eyes hearing bearing the coveted graduation certificate the exercises were carried out according to the announced program and included a selection by brook s
