Area Births Missing 2 Days LDS Hospital Search for Boy Continues Dozens of police officers and is Friday combed the Central City area of Salt Lake City seeking clues which might lead them to a boy who has been missing for two days. Salt Lake City Police Detective Capt. Jon Pollei said his officers have not ruled out the possibility that Troy Ward ran away Wednesday afternoon, But my gut feeling right now is that he is not a runaway," he said. Hes just been gone too long without anybody seeing him. Weve conducted an exhaustive search, Capt. Pollei added. Sgt. Bruce White of the department's youth division said officers "have pretty much discredited" reports by two girls who said they saw the child being assaulted in Liberty Park Wednesday night and a report by a family from Georgia who told officers they saw the child at the Safeway grocery store at 900 S. Main. "The reports were but apparently unfounded, the sergeant said. Were forced to go back to square one, he added. Troy, the son of Cherl Ward, 366 E. 800 South, disappeared from a street corner near his home Wednesday his birthday about S p.m. while he was waiting for a neighborhood friend to give him a ride on a motorcycle. The boy has medium-lengt- h blond hair, 40 pounds, 3 foot 8, with two missing front teeth and silver caps on either side of the missing teeth. Anyone with information regarding the youth should contact Capt. Pollei or Sgt. White at the Salt Lake City Police detective division, 535 7157. fkH4S4oitMJL4slkAaA4sBnAAailsAaMklAiAaiAMMSSM4tAj4 Brey.
