Thirteen persons were killed and more than twenty-five Injured, In-jured, several probably fatally, late Sunday night when a switch engine pushing two freight cars crashed into a crowded street car at Forest avenue ave-nue and Dequinder street, on the east side. There were more than ninety persons in the street car, many of them returning from the theatres. The street car was struck almost in in the center, the impact pushing it from the tracks and sliding it alongside along-side of the freight cars. Panic-sticken passengers y began jumping from doors and climbing through windows. Most of the dead were killed by jumping from the car and falling under the wheels of the still moving freight cars. Those who were killed outright at the crossing were so badly mangled that identification there was impossible. impos-sible.
