Show ((ounty ORANGEVILLE Funeral services were held here over ov-er the remains of Mrs. Jane Snow Mangum, whose body was brought here for burial following her death in Salt Lake City on Sept. 30th, from a complication of diseases. The services ser-vices were very largely attended. (A complete account of the funeral, together to-gether with an obituary sketch of the. deceased will be published next week A new baby boy has made his appearance ap-pearance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Jewkes. All are doing well. Congratulations are to be extendeel to our townsman, S. H. Cox sr., who was married in Salt Lake this week to Martha L. Stewart of that city. CLEVELAND Mr. and Mrs. Parley Allred are entertaining en-tertaining a new arrival at their home. Hilda Otterstrom and Lehi Neil-son Neil-son are now enrolled at the E. S. A.; Pearl and Rosa Snow and Levi Mortensen Mor-tensen at the B. Y. U. at Provo; Denver Den-ver Oviatt and Emma Johnson at the U. of V. at Salt Lake; and Ruth Whimpey at the Carbon County High school. Quite a number of our citizens attended at-tended the Emery County fair last week. Clarence Oveson is building a ntt little home in the lower part of town and Neils Oveson is also repairing his home. All of our whooping cough patie nts are rapidly Improving and we hear of no new cases. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stokes received a telegram last week to come to Salt Lake to the bedside of their son Joseph, who was to be operated oi; for appendicitis. We have not heard any report since their departure. |
