Show ! E. S. A. MOTES i i j Perhaps no sadder ending could have j been given to our otherwise happy : vacation than that of the death of one of our foremost students, Dall Luke. Stricken suddenly and having bjt a short illness his death came as a shock , to all of us. It was indeed with hearts full of sorrow from the sense of our j loss that the studentboly turned out enmasse to attend the funeral services, which were held at Or ngeviilo last Monday. Not only was Dall a leader , in scholarship but he also held a promi-j promi-j nent place in studentbody activities. He ! will be remembered well by all who saw "College Life" as the fiery Southern South-ern gentleman, father of the "Babe." ' Dall's genial humor, happy disposition j and progressive spirit won for him a ' place in tne heart of every teacher and student, and the tribute in verse which was given with the floral offering by the second year students, of which class ! he was president, voices the sentiments of all: TO DALL Classmate, friend and brother, With saddened hearts we bring J This token of our love, i Oh, we shall sorely miss you. You as perhaps no other, Our president, our leader called above. Your name shall now be written On fairer rolls than ours, i With other classmates now You'll work and play. In Heaven you're a graduate, j While we with tears and flowers Do shower you and bless your name to-I to-I day.
