Show ALIEN LABOR ACT VOID. Arizona Law Violates the Guarantees Contained in Constitution. San Francisco. The United States district court for the district of Arizona Ari-zona on Thursday held unconstitutional unconstitu-tional the Arizona "twenty per cent alien labor law." The decision, written by Judge W. H. Sawtelle of Arizona and concurred in by Judge W. W. Van Fleet and Judge W. W. Morrow, sitting with him in the hearing, holds that the law violates vio-lates the fourteenth amendment to the United States constitution, which guarantees guar-antees equal protection to aliens and citizens in the United States. The decision is one of the most sweeping of its kind ever rendered, and will stand as a milestone in the future affairs of this country, unless reversed by the United States supreme court, to which the case is to be carried. |
