Show FERRON Charles Maynard passed through town last Friday on his way to the Copper Globe with two prospective buyers for the property, but on their return we could not find out whether or not the sale was a go. However, Mr. Maynard ordered a local party to post notices to the effect that he will receive bids for the hauling of two ears of ore from the Globe to Price for shipment to the smelters, so there must be something doing in the near future. Ferron's delegation of real live j boosters left Tuesday on the Emery-j Emery-j Carbon excursion to Richfield. About I eleven ears left here at S o'clock. Several members of the Athletic club accompanied the party to make arrangements in regard re-gard to aihletic sports for Peach day. Mrs. J. H. Clark of Bingham is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Thos. Fueate. Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Easley of Moab are Ferron visitors this week. Miss Rena Ralphs entertained last Tuesday evening with a prettily arranged ar-ranged lawn party in compliment to Miss Hazel Samuelsen of Salt Lake City. The Bee Hive girls entertained their swarm leader, Miss Lulu Jensen, who leaves soon for Salt Lake City where she will attend school. Mrs Albertina Samuelson and daughter dau-ghter Hazel of Salt Lake are here, visiting with Mrs. Samuelson's father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen Jen-sen sr. Jos Peterson and wife of Hiawatha are Ferron visitors this week. Mrs. J. C. Lemon and daughter, Mrs. Jos. Peterson left Tuesday morning morn-ing via Salina for Manti where they will spend a couple of weeks with ' Mrs. Fred Hall. A camping party, consisting of Clell Pettey, Earl Acord, Edd Crawford, Hugh Jones, Parley Peterson, Dr. D. D. McArthur, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Williams, Evalyn Lowry, Jennie Lemon, Lem-on, Delphia Pettey, Edw. P. Cox. Kate McMillen, Sara Oveson, Hatti Cox, and Cecil Singleton, returned j Tuesday after a ten-day trip in the mountains. All report having had an excellent time |
