Show I.O.ST SPRING CANYON ROAD WORK AUTHORIZED An expenditure of between ?G,000 and $7,000 was authorized this week for work on road between Desert station sta-tion on the D. & R. G. west of Green River, toward the head of Lost Spring canyon, there to connect with the present pre-sent state road between Castledale and Green River. O. R. Gillispie of Green River, county commissioner, called on E. R. Morgan, secretary to the state road commission, and state road engineer, last Monday and was instrumental in getting this early attention at-tention to this particular piece of road. It will be remembered that Jesse D. Jewkes, state treasurer and member of the state road commission, in company com-pany with Mr. Morgan and others, made the trip over the proposed route of this new piece of road in the spring County Surveyor Faddis later making a survey of the road in company with F. A. Killpack, state road agent, but it was hardly expected that anything further would be done until later this fall. However, work could not be commenced too early on this important import-ant piece of road that means so much to the people of Emery county. |
