Show EMERY-CARBON PEOPLE ARE ENTERTAINED ROYALLY Delegation of 100 Farmers and Business Busi-ness Men Enjoy Banquet That the big delegation of farmers iind business men from Emery and , Carbon counties, who left here last Tuesday morning in automobiles for. a tour of Sevier county, are having a "oval good time at the expense of the good people over that way, is a foregone fore-gone conclusion from the accounts of the big times being pulled off appearing appear-ing .in the papers, and also from the fact that the time set for their return home (last Thursday) is passed with never a sign of their travel-stained faces homeward bound. It is now thought likely that the trip will he eontinued on up through Sanpete county, cou-nty, to return, possibly, by way of frice canyon. At least some will likely add that much to the big trip f they go into Sanpete county. The party arrived in Salina for the '"ig time scheduled there that night . and the reception was repeated at Richfield on Thursday night after a visit to the farms of Richmond and thereabout. The Richfield reception took the form of a banquet and meet-ting, meet-ting, held in the Second ward meeting ' house, J. W. Nixon of Huntington, and John Gubler and Dr. Cloward of ''rice taking part in the speech-making. A musical program was also rendered in conjunction with the speeches. LATER Practically all of the big Party of excursionists arived from the trip late yesterday afternoon, feeling fine both for the benefit gained 'om the inspection made of "the oth--r fellow's" farm and from the fine treatment received throughout the entire en-tire trip. Col. L. c. Moore of Rochester, one of the "big guns" of the party, will Prepare a writeup covering the trip 'or next week's Progress. There seems to be no end to the funny developments of the trip, but about the best, and one about which there is shrouded the greatest of mystery, mys-tery, ig the foundation of a red-pig trust about to be formed by Messrs. George Mortensen of Emery and Samuel Singleton of Ferron, with C. E. Larsen'-of Castledale as chief high fiunky at large. . - |
