| Show STOP KNOCKING THE RAILROADS with some people the habit of knocking ahe railroads has become so cronic that they are unable to see a single virtue in those great transportation institutions not even it if the individual in question were a given a free pass now and then but as nu au evidence that the railroads aro arc always willing to do their share in the up building of the country and the promotion ot of any worthy cause we call attention to the copious advertising tha that thag ilias been running in all the Salt Lake and ogden daily papera and tho the country papers bearing on peach day in brigham for a week past the salt lake papers have contained from three to civo locals on each pago page set in large black caps constructed in such a dianner as to catch the attention ot of the reader and the result must surely be that every son and anc daughter ot of utah who reads the papera has been made acquainted with the fact that peach day was celebrated in brigham yesterday and every one who read any of oc those locals re a direct invitation from the railroad companies to come to brigham and feast on free peaches and other fruits i in our experience with the railroads we re have never found the officials too busy ausy to listen to a suggestion statement or even complaint and we can further bear testimony to the tact fact that the railroad officials never let any communication muni cation pass into one ear and out of the other they weigh the matter carefully giving it their valuable time then take the time to advise the communicant muni cant as to the disposition of the matter the railroads are mighty big factors in the progress of the country and we believe they more than go halt half way in boosting and helping the uplift of every section they traverse |
