Show RAILROAD RED BOOK TELLS OF PROSPERITY A complete and authoritative review re-view of the resources of Colorado, Utah and New Mexico is set forth in the January number of the "Railroad Red Book," the monthly publication of the Passenger Department, Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. The agricultural, ag-ricultural, live stock, packing, mining, min-ing, manufacturing, immigration, good roads and tourist interests of this territory are interestingly portrayed by persons well informed on these special subjects, and every important community along Rio Grande lines is represented with stories written by reliable re-liable citizens in the various sections. A telegraph preface, sent in by editors of principal western daily papers, pa-pers, is filled with optimism and pre-ditions pre-ditions of continued prosperity for this portion of the United States. Nineteen hundred and sixteen was a prosperous year for the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain West, very little of which was due to the European War, and, with the signing of the new 640-acre homestead iaw by President Wilson, indications are that this healthy business conditions con-ditions will continue, war or no war. |
