"The local draft boards, being judicial judi-cial bodies, can not defer the call of men men however, unless the farmers ivuloying them support their claims for such deferred classification with ; affidavits. It is therefore of vital im-1 im-1 portance that farmers immediately ex-j ex-j ecute and file such affidavits with I the local boards. "If farmers whose hands are af-i af-i footed in this new call fail to follow I this advice, they should have no cause I for complaint if their men are taken ! from them at this critical time. It I will be useless and unreasonable later j to protest if they have done nothing I to retain their help. Immediate ac-! ac-! tion on the part of every farmer whose ; employees are affected is essentia and should not be delayed under any circumstances." w. s. s. |
