OF those who come to Utah for a vacation come here because they want to got away from big cities, foul air and littered streets. And no wonder, for out here in Utah we have the antidote for all of these troubles. Most of Utah is public land, so you can see theres lots of room to wander. Utah has only 84 square miles short of being 85,000 square miles of land area, and its a little more than a million people are concentrated in one area so that gives visitors plenty of room to roam about. This landlocked Western state has just about any environment a person could ask for except the sea. There are rugged d hills, lakes and mountains, rivers for fishing, boating or river running, deserts, cliffs, lush meadows and farmlands, and old mining areas where ghost towns keep their lonely vigils under a desert sun. Other man-mad- e sights, besides dams and log cabins are Indian ruins and pictographs to be found in many areas of the state and new sites are continually being discovered. And then theres the people.
