Show BEEKEEPERS CONVENTION Routine Business Transacted and New Officers are Elected. Beekeepers of the county met in an-ual an-ual meeting at the courthouse last Monday afternoon for the purpose of electing officers and for the transaction trans-action of other business. That there s a great deal of interest taken in the honey industry was plainly evidenced by the large number of those present. Scarcely a single person in the count-ty count-ty who is interested in the industry to any considerable extent but was present, pres-ent, notwithstanding the stormy weather. wea-ther. The meeting convened in the forenoon fore-noon and some business was transact- j id but the greater part was transacted trans-acted in the afternoon. Pres. Christian Chris-tian Otteson called the meeting to order ord-er after which the secretary's report was read and accepted as was also that of the president. On calling for nominations for officers, of-ficers, Christian Otteson was re-elected to the office of president and Peter Nielson to the office of secretary. The following were elected to act as vice-presidents: vice-presidents: John Behling, Ferron, 1st; P. A. Childs, Orangeville, 2d; Jad Knight, Cleveland, 3d; N. S. Nielson, Castledale, 4th; Thomas Chantry, Wellington, 5th; and A. W. Anderson, Emery, 6th. The matter of a county bee inspector inspect-or was next taken up and it was moved mov-ed that the present inspector be continued. con-tinued. Carried. |
