Show COMMITTEES ARE NAMED IN SENATE AND HOUSE The selection of the committees is always al-ways the important event of the opening open-ing session of a legislature, Every ambitious member wants to get on as many committees as possible, and the chairmanship is also a place that is being be-ing quietly looked for. Such being the case it is gratifying to know that our representatives from this district have been well-favored in this regard in the present session. Senator Iverson is chairman of the public lands committee and a member of the following: contingent expenses, county and municipal corporations, elections, federal relations, judiciary, military affairs and public health. Representative Wm. J. Seely was made chairman of the committee on census, and a member of the following: counties; education; public funds; rules; school for deaf, dumb and blind; manufactures manu-factures and commerce and labor. |
