PETERSON, Ferron The Socialists of E nery county met in scheduled convention last Saturday-afternoon Saturday-afternoon and nominated the above ticket to be voted on at the approaching approach-ing regular election. The day bein very stormy probably accounted for the very few present but those that were there fairly represent-1 ed the party in all precincts but Cleve- . land which casts the largest .socialist vote. John Peterson of Castledale acted as chairman and Lillie Engle of Huntington Hunt-ington acted as secretary. For repr-sentative, Wm. H. Price of Ferron was named by E. G. De-friez. De-friez. Carried. For 4-year commissioner, Dillard De-friez De-friez presented the. name of Wm. Mc-Kenzie Mc-Kenzie of Ferron. Carried. For 3-year commissioner, the name of N. C. Oveson, of Cleveland, was ofiered by E. G. Defriez. Carried. For clerk, Wm. McKenzie presented the name of Leroy Black, of Ferron. Carried. For recorder, E.- G. Defriez presented present-ed the name of Lillie Engle, of Huntington. Hunt-ington. Carried. For treasurer, W. H. Price presented present-ed the name of John Peterson but Mr. I Peterson declining to act under any circumstances, cir-cumstances, his name was withdrawn ; and the name of Wm. T. Litster of Cleveland, substituted. For sheriff, the name of Geo. Peter-I Peter-I sjn, of Ferron, was presented by Wm. McKenzie. Carried. For assessor, W. A. Pierce named L. W. Johnson, of Huntington. Carried. For superintendent of schools, Wm. McKenzie presented the name of Ethel E. Peterson, of Ferron. Carried. With the completion of the ticket a committee composed of Messrs. Dillard Defriez, Wm. Price, and John Leslie was appointed to fill all vacancies and it was decided to wage a vigorous campaign cam-paign by means of rallies, etc., between now and election time. |
