The friend demurred about producing them on the ground ithat Mother might not like to have her eat them so near lunch time, it then being almost noon. Oh, she won't care," the child replied, then she wont have to fix anything to eat and shell . like that Launched An Account Thereupon she launched into an account of the family eating. Without realizing it" she put an accurate finger on many a point parents would do well to be fhindful of. Tm an awful poor eater," she said with some pride, my mother cant hardly get me to eat anything." This, as she finished the fourth cookie. Then as she took the fifth one, I just sit there and talk all the time and then after awhile I get hungry and it makes my mother awful mad." Then, another cookie later, My Daddy is an awful poor eater, too, and my mother gets mad at him, too, but its because he doesnt like lots of things and I dont either." Why dont you want to talk about eating?" asked the child as the adult friend tried to change the subject before glimpsing any more of the family secrets.
