Since that beginning the Society has progressed steadily and has expanded its service until today it is rated as being well over a million end one-ha- if dollar financial instition. In that time more than 2,200 homes in Logan and Cache Valley have been financed with loans that total well over $5,000,000. Since its founding Investors have been paid over $1,250,000.00 as earnings on their savings in regular payments. Safety of investments has always been an important factor in placing money in savings accounts, therefore the safety and security of the funds of shareholders placed with this associat ion is emphasized in many ways. First, it is locally owned, and ' all persons connected with the handling of the business are experienced and well known business men. Second, in the financial portfolio of the association are only loans secured by first liens on homes in this area. Also these loans are made on an amortized basis for the period of the loan. This means, in effect, that money is steadily being put back into the association for further use or retirement of shares. The stability of Logan's economic conditions strengthens the value of the property on which association money is loaned. In summary, funds invested with this association are protected by good and consistent economical management and by the fact that reserves and surplus for retiring funds will total close to one hundred thousand dollars. Insurance through the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation protects the investor up to $10,000 for each individual account. Membership in the Federal Home Loan Bank provides further stability and liquidity to its operation. ht semi-annu- Time Tested al m.
