Military honors were by American Legion Post 69, and burial was in the Kanab Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell a r Mr family. His love of his grandchil- Jessica Robinson Lewis Devon Jackson, age Sunday, August 19, 2001 in 81,-die- d Kanab, Utah. Born March 16,1920 in Fredonia, Arizona to Martha Young Jackson and Joseph Roberton Jackson. Married Ellen Glazier on December 24, 1938 in St. George, Utah, later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Devon was a Naval Air Force Veteran of World War II. Devon was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, and served as a temple worker in St. George for ten years. He often said the best years of his life were the time he spent in the temple. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gathering wood, and taking back country drives. Christmas was always a special time to him, and he enjoyed spending it with those he loved; his wife, children, and grandchildren. Their marriage Cedar City, UT, Penni (Phil) Carter of Pahrump, NV, JoAnn (Cleo) Lamb of Glendale, Utah, ' Tina Spencer & Jeff Ward of Henderson, NV, Danny (Andrea) Spencer of Glendale, UT, and Tom (Rhonda) Spencer of Fredonia, AZ; daughter-in-la- w was solemnized in the St. Lonna Spencer of Glendale, UT; George Temple on June 9, 1965. sisters Wanda Meller of Mes- quite, NV, and Elda Draper of Salt Lake City, UT; 37 grandchildren and 52 He was preceded in death by his son, Dick Spencer, on August 17, 2001, two grandsons John Cox and Justin Lamb, and Ferrel was an extremely patriotic man. He served in the 975th Artillery, US Army, during World War IL He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, and served in many positions. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and loved the Savior and the scriptures. He had many talents that he developed throughout his life. Graveside' services were held Tuesday, August 28, 2001 in the Glendale Utah Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Treatment projects planned for southern Utah streams Seven small streams and three ponds are planned for chemical renovation with rotenone this fall. These projects are scattered across Piute, Wayne and Garfield counties. Streams are planned for renovation to expand the range and habitat for native cutthroat trout. She was bom November 2, 1993 in Kanab, Utah to Virginia Bistline and Norman Gerhart Robinson. Jessie loved everything about life and lived it to the fullest. She bounced through 1st grade Carl OI$on, Jr. at Fredonia Elementary where Carl Edward Olson, Junior her teacher Mrs. Young just age 40, passed away Saturday adored her. Thursday, August 23, 2001 in the Fredonia Arizona LDS St. Christopher's Catholic Church Ferrel was very soft spoken, kind, and generous. He was very gentle natured and not easily provoked. Even though he was a man of few words, when he did speak it was well thought out and very appropriate. Most of all, Ferrel loved his Creek, Dougherty, Creek, . Tenmile Creek and Birch Creek. Streams slated for treatment are small, generally located in remote locations, and do not attract many anglers. The length of each stream section planned for treatment ranges from 0.25 to six miles. Four of the seven streams planned for treatment were already treated last year, but require a second treatment to insure complete removal of fishes. Rotenone is anatural plant product that completely in . the environment and is not toxic to humans, other mammals, or birds at the concentrations used. It is approved for aquatic use by the EPA. Thepublicwillnotbeallowed to salvage dead fish because fished killed by rotenone have not been approved by the FDA for human consumption. All projects have received public review and planning through Environmental Assessments and National Environmen--ta- l non-nati- ve bio-degra- des Policy Act processes. |
