Ixxie is the Student Body and FBLA President. She is also the FFA Secretary. In years past she was the Junior Class President and FFA Sentinel. Lexie was chosen as one of the local girls to attend Utah Girls State and Utah Business Week. She was a cheerleader this year, and has also played basketball, volleyball and par Vice-Preside- nt enjoys being involved and staying busy. T.J. was on both the baseball and basketball teams. He is a and the Namember of tional Honor Society. T.J. is also a member of ETS. He is actively involved in many school activities. He participated in the Bachelor 2000 pageant and did a fine job there. T.J is a great asset to the high school. Not only is this class the youngest reading class in the school, but they have set a great example for the rest of the classes as they all work towards their goals. Congratulations first grade!! FBLA V Sunday, May 13 from Noon till 10 p.m their entire class reach their reading goal before the end of the year. Mrs. Maryann Leighs first grade class became the first to have every student reach their accelerated reading goal, two months before the end of school. They were all honored at the schools monthly assembly, as the final student received their shirts. Each student worked very hard at home, with their families, and at school to reach their goal. This is a great class, and Im (lauiluuu Cole 198 South 100 East Kanab Members of Kanab High Schools FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Club traveled to Salt Lake City to partici- pate in the State Leadership Conference. Over 150 students from schools throughout Utah competed in various business contests. Those competing from Kanab High were: Malynda Button, Lexie Doss, Eric Downward, Klyn Ence, Amy Heaton, Cole Houston, Sarah Pace, Sarah Ramsay, Angela Roper, Katy Stirland and Lacy Yoho. Everyone did a great job and were exceptional students that represented KHS well. Katy Stirland received 10th place in the Impromptu Speaking Contest. Cole Houston received third place in Computer Applications Test. Cole qualifies to attend the FBLANational Competition held in Orlando, Florida this summer. |
