He read aloud the letters presented by boy scouts Matthew and Trenton Hunt. The letter requests a resolution be adopted to allow Boy Scouts to meet in public buildings and parks. The Mayor requested a resolution be drafted and presented to the council. Antone Giovanini suggested to the Mayor that the Town find a means of generating our own power in the Town of Fredonia. Item 1: On 6600, Town Council agreed to spend $24,000 with no cap on ADOT sleeve fees. But the Town Council passed a $16,000 expenditure for two sets on the South end and two sets on the North end of Main Street. On a motion by Greg Honey, seconded by Joy Jordan, Council voted unanimously to change the agreement from $16,000 to $24,000. Item 2: Tabled until after the Wastewater meeting on April 20th. Item 3: The Planning and posing the group home. Guy Finicum requested the Council amend the ordinance which states a group home cannot be closer than 600 feet to a liquor outlet, to 300 feet. It was also brought to the Councils attention that the state and towns definition differ regarding a single family zoning. On a motion by Mayor Winward, seconded by Greg Honey, Council voted unanimously to deny a conditional use permit for the group home. Item 4: Joy Jordan would like to have the Arizona Strip Interpretive Association assist in the running of the Welcome Center. Joy will follow-u- p with details in writing to the Town. Item 5 : Tom Corrigan reports there are 35 applicants and $308,000 to be distributed for the Coconino County CDBG Senior Center Van.
