Show School Ln nf ? it n - F f - Compiled by Lexie Doss 5 years ago I hope this weeks article makes up for the past two weeks that I have missed. There just wasnt much to write about. These are just a few funny little excerpts from the paper in 1996. The first one is titled, It pays to look. The young woman stepped on the scale in the comer drug store and was horrified at what she saw. She stepped off and took off her coat and tried again. The results were still unsatisfactory so she removed her shoes. Then she found she was out of coins and started to leave. One of the old- - timers who had been watching from afar stepped forward anjjianded her a coin. Dont stop now, he said, Ive got a handful of coins if you need them! The second one is titled, In the Fast Lane. The old fellow was driving below the minimum speed on the interstate when the state trooper pulled him over. Do you know why I stopped you sir? the trooper asked. Sure do, the answered, I was the only one you could catch. old-tim- er A call for spiritual poems from Kanab-are- a poets A $1000.00 grand prize is being offered in a special religious poetry contest sponsored by the New Jersey Rainbow Poets, free to anyone who has ever written a poem.
